Craft Specialist Position- North & Central
The Fedway Craft Spirits Specialist is a dynamic position in one of the hottest categories in the NJ Spirits Market. The Specialist works as an extension of the general sales force to build and promote the craft spirits portfolio. This role will require daily travel to the assigned territory in Morristown, Hunterdon County, Morris Plains, and Sparta.
Role & Responsibility:
The Craft Spirit Specialist Position includes (but is not limited to):
- Work in your territory of accounts to increase sales of Fedway Craft Spirits Portfolio
- Report on market trends and hot craft categories
- Conduct monthly supplier and sales rep work-withs to secure placements of Craft Portfolio items
- Train/Educate staff within your account territory on Craft Portfolio items and best selling practices
- Merchandise your accounts with appropriate POS such as shelf talkers, bottle glorifiers, barware, etc. to increase product exposure to account clientele
- Assist On-Premise accounts with development of cocktail menus and secure placements of Craft Portfolio items
- Daily Reporting of account visits, product presentations, sales rep/supplier work-withs, and coordinated dinners/events in
- Achieve Monthly Craft Goals tracked in Program Advisor
- Attend GSM presentations and assist suppliers in after meeting tastings to increase sales rep awareness
- Evening events and limited overnight travel
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in spirits sales or related field
- Strong understanding of the craft spirits market
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets
- Familiarity with Central New Jersey markets
Education, Certifications and /or licenses:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Able to obtain and meet industry licensing requirements as needed
- Must possess a valid driver's license and secure and maintain auto-liability insurance by state laws
Physical Demands:
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 40lbs
Compensation:
- Salary starts at $66,000/annually commensurate with experience
- Monthly bonus opportunity
- This position is eligible for a company car
