Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead sustainment of OSS Lab and production environments, including routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and storage systems.
- Oversee and perform advanced patching, firmware, and OS upgrades across classified/unclassified environments.
- Manage OSS Network Services (AAA, DNS, NTP, Syslog, storage) ensuring full accreditation, compliance, and availability.
- Provide Tier III break-fix support, leading incident response and ensuring timely restoration of critical services.
- Direct system configuration, architecture documentation, and technical refreshes for end-of-life hardware/software.
- Lead implementation of DISA STIGs, IAVAs, and DTO requirements; validate security compliance through scans and audits.
- Support certification and accreditation by providing technical artifacts, STIG/scan results, and remediation guidance.
- Develop system architecture documentation, design documents, rack diagrams, and implementation plans.
- Plan, test, and guide transition of systems to IPv6, SNMPv3, and other modernization initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership for firewall refresh efforts, including device qualification, configuration standards, and implementation oversight.
- Coordinate with government stakeholders to ensure updates are tested in lab environments before production deployment.
- Lead transition-in/out activities including inventories, process documentation, and transfer of system artifacts.
- Prepare and deliver technical reports, status updates, and compliance documentation in accordance with contractual deliverables.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field with 8 Years of experience
- Additional relevant work experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree on a case-by-case basis
- Proven experience leading administration and sustainment of enterprise systems in classified environments.
- Advanced expertise with firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers.
- Strong background in DISA environments, DoD accreditation processes, RMF, and IA compliance.
- Hands-on experience with authentication and directory services (LDAP, TACACS, RADIUS), DNS, NTP, and enterprise logging.
- Experience leading technical refresh and migration initiatives.
- Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities across network and system domains.
- Strong technical writing skills for architecture documents, design plans, and accreditation packages.
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority efforts simultaneously with minimal oversight.
