Position: QA Automation Engineer
Location: Tampa, FL
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Development: Create and maintain scalable automation frameworks utilizing Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit, and Maven.
- API Testing: Develop and execute API test automation using tools like REST Assured and Postman.
- Test Strategy: Formulate and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans that align with project requirements.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of QA engineers and testers to foster a culture of quality.
- Testing Coordination: Oversee testing efforts for functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Environment Management: Manage test environments, tools, and associated data effectively.
- Metrics & Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on testing metrics, defect trends, and overall release readiness.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and DevOps, to meet quality objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Advocate for and drive continuous improvement in testing processes and automation frameworks.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices in testing.
- Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions.
- Behavior-Driven Development (BDD): Utilize BDD frameworks such as Cucumber to ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Test Management Tools: Use JIRA and TestRail for effective test management, documentation, and defect tracking.
- Root Cause Analysis: Analyze defects, perform root cause analysis, and ensure high test coverage.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior QA engineers and contribute to the evolution of QA best practices.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in QA, with a significant focus on automation.
- Proficient in Java, Selenium, TestNG/JUnit, and API testing tools (e.g., REST Assured, Postman).
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).
- Experience with Git, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is advantageous.
- Strong working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript for UI test validation.
- Excellent SQL skills for backend verification.
- Outstanding problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies
