What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Analyst - Mid Level position at Fedpoint Systems LLC?
The Data Analyst addresses the full range of data needs for the product team and end users starting with data processing and integration and then culminating in insightful report design and development. S/he leverages key technologies including SQL and Excel to extract insight from data. This role works on all aspects of data integration, processing and validation to ensure the information provided to users is accurate and complete.
Description
- Supports team to provide data for reports that quickly synthesize large amounts of information into one platform, providing clients with easy to access data insights
- Support data integration by defining technical requirements, streamlining processes, promoting transparency and developing complex logic
- Conducts data sourcing, curation, management and preparation using SQL against diverse data sources
- Enhance and automate data curation processes by working with Database team
- Utilize Excel and SQL to design and develop custom reports that are not available from the user application
- Maintain the integrity of electronic data by creating and adhering to process methodologies and policies and procedures for software support and maintenance.
- Work with IT and business leaders to identify current and future information needs and opportunities for the organization.
- Assist with functional testing and validation of complex reports
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One of the following sets of qualifications is required:
Set 1:
- A minimum 3 years of experience working as a Data Analyst or Data Scientist and experience working with Clinical Data Sets
Set 2:
- A minimum 5 years of experience working as a Data Analyst or Data Scientist
General Experience
- Analyst should have 1-3 years of experience analyzing and mapping data from various source data systems.
- Must have deep knowledge of SQL and Excel to the extent of doing complex queries involving joins, manipulating pivot tables, substrings, etc.
- Well-developed communication skills (both verbal and written) and ability to liaise with various teams to develop solutions.
- At least 1 year of Python/R experience and ability to write simple programs in using standard packages
- Driven, self-motivated individual with a desire to succeed
- Proven work ethic, tenacity and focus
- Experience with Electronic Health Record system such as Eclipsys Sunrise Clinical Manager or similar is a plus
