Access Control Security Technician

Contractor shall serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming and outgoing personnel, visitors, and inquiries at the Security desk. Implement physical security program and support Force Protection Conditions (FPCONS) requirements for DCMA HQ, Ft. Lee, VA.

• Provide concierge assistance at the DCMA Headquarters security desk with a strong

focus on security and proactive, friendly, customer service.

• Maintain HQ access control. Verify identity and process access requests for employees, contractors, and visitors to the facility.

• Maintaining accurate visitor logs and security rosters.

• Provide customer service actions such as directions, contacting sponsor offices, conducting escort of visitors as needed, to include assisting Emergency Management

Services (EMS) personnel during emergencies.

• Operate package screening equipment

• Be capable of operating video surveillance system to include:

Log on to system

Review recorded footage

Adjust camera views/angles

Preserve and export footage

• General Security Monitoring: The contractor shall maintain overall situational awareness of the building, furthering physical security and force protection. Tools available include the Video Surveillance System (VSS), and/or physical security vulnerabilities to the Physical Security manager.

• Open/Close Secure Rooms daily or upon request by validated government customers.

• Maintain situational awareness of the building through static observation and reporting suspicious activities and/or physical security vulnerabilities to the building Security Manager

• Provide intermittent support to other security offices. When not assisting customers or processing visitors, Contractor shall provide administrative support to Personnel Security (PERSEC) Program activities.

In and Out Process personnel (Civilian/Military), to include processing Security Terminations/Debriefs,

Create Visit Access Requests (VARS) in the Defense Information Security System (DISS),

Update the Automated Listing of Eligibility and Clearances (ALEC) & Electronic Security Personnel File (EPSF) internal database systems,

Assist with processing Continuous Vetting Questionnaires for clearance eligibility,

Process Foreign Travel notifications for cleared personnel,

Validate clearances for System Authorization Access Requests (SAARs) to DoW systems and information.

• Assist Counter-Insider Threat (C-InT) Program with preliminary inquiries and provide a report of action and findings to the C-InT Program Manager.

• Monitor and maintain routine security-related correspondence to include organizational email inboxes, physical mail and/or internal memorandums, while strictly adhering to provided Statement of Operations (SOPs).

Shift work covering the period of 0600 to 1830, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Years of Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in managing DoD or Federal project/programs

Clearance Required: Active Secret

Citizenship: US
