FEDITC is seeking an International is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to work within 50 miles of DHS Facility to support the DHS Homeland Security Enterprise Network (HSEN) with a focus on network monitoring, tools integration, and observability. This role combines hands‑on engineering with architectural responsibility to ensure enterprise networks and applications are proactively monitored, secure, and highly available across a complex hybrid environment.
This role is hybrid, with most work performed remotely; candidates must be willing and able to work onsite at DHS offices on a periodic basis.
A United States Citizenship and an active and EOD eligible is required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate enterprise network monitoring and observability platforms (e.g., ScienceLogic SL1, NetScout, VOSS).
- Integrate monitoring tools with network infrastructure, cloud platforms, and Kubernetes environments.
- Develop and maintain automation workflows (Ansible, Python) to support monitoring and onboarding activities.
- Configure event management, alerting, and correlation policies to reduce noise and improve incident response.
- Troubleshoot complex monitoring and performance issues across network and server environments.
- Support device onboarding, configuration changes, and incident response activities.
- Collaborate with vendors, operations teams, and architects to ensure comprehensive monitoring coverage.
- Participate in architectural reviews and planning discussions.
- Provide documentation, diagrams, and operational guidance; mentor junior engineers as needed
Experience/Skills:
- 7 years of experience in network engineering, monitoring, or observability roles.
- 3–5 years of hands‑on experience with enterprise monitoring platforms (ScienceLogic, NetScout, VOSS, Dynatrace, SolarWinds).
- Strong SNMP, NetFlow, syslog, and network protocol knowledge (TCP/IP, ICMP).
- Experience onboarding and monitoring routers, switches, firewalls, cloud VMs, and Kubernetes clusters.
- Automation experience using Ansible and/or Python is a plus.
- Comfortable working in Linux and Windows environments.
- Experience producing technical documentation and network diagrams (Visio).
- Strong communication skills; able to work with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Prior federal or large enterprise network experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
- Active EOD eligible clearance is required.
- Must be a United States Citizen and pass a background check.
- Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s)
