Overview of position:

FEDITC is seeking a Client Support Technician (CST) / Network IT Technician to work at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) – Lackland, TX. United States citizenship and an Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility are required to be considered for this position.

Provide technical and administrative support to the Wing Senior Information Technology Specialist. Includes surge capability to support mission-critical efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide system administrator (SYS ADMIN) support to the Wing Senior IT Specialist.
  • Analyze and measure system/data integrity, ensuring security, reliability, and availability.
  • Resolve 90% of assigned trouble tickets within five (5) business days.
  • Conduct studies and assist in establishing plans of action to improve IT efficiency.
  • Evaluate existing systems, conduct feasibility studies, and perform cost-benefit analyses.
  • Evaluate emerging technology and develop optimization plans to meet mission needs.
  • Integrate new technology into existing architecture and resolve system conflicts.
  • Assist with IT policy development and ensure compliance with DoD and Air Force guidance.
  • Support IT audits, identify findings, and present results.
  • Assist with migration planning, training, and user support.
  • Provide technical assistance to system users and contractors.
  • Support management discussions and briefings (A006).
  • Ensure infrastructure supports system requirements and coordinate with partners for compliance.
  • Provide customer training, documentation, and assistance.
  • Maintain troubleshooting documentation and continuity procedures.
  • Maintain cyber doctrine and system documents in approved repositories.
  • Support day-to-day use of multi-user computer systems.
  • Provide surge capability as needed.

Experience/Skills:

  • Experience providing system administration, client support, and network IT assistance in a mission or operational environment.
  • Experience conducting IT analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation.
  • Experience maintaining and optimizing IT system reliability and performance.
  • Experience supporting end users and coordinating technical requirements with mission partners.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills in support of daily operations.

Required Certifications:

  • CompTIA Security (DoD M IAT Level II compliant)

Clearance:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI) required.
  • Must be a United States Citizen and pass a background check.
  • Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC's Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).

Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
