Position Summary
- Working closely with the Global Security Management team and other business function leaders, this position is responsible for executing the continuous assessment of risk avoidance, acceptance, transfer and mitigation strategies for assigned areas to include, but not limited to; Physical Security, Security Technology, Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), and Risk/Threat analysis, and intelligence gathering to protect our people, assets and brand. This role will improve the operational efficiency and automate transactional activities while continuously improving Global Security customer experience.
Job Description Summary:
- To plan, staff, organize, direct, and control a 24/7 Global Security Operations Center.
- Select, implement, and maintain procedures, programs, and electronic/computer security systems on a nationwide level.
- Manage enterprise wide security monitoring and alarm systems to include alarm response processes.
- Oversee and monitor GPS surface vehicle tracking and control of vehicles globally.
- Strategic business traveler security assessment, evaluation and analysis.
- Tactical/real time business traveler security monitoring and response.
- Social media monitoring for threats to enterprise employees and assets and initiate response as deemed necessary.
- Initial crisis response management for acts of man and nature to protect enterprise people, assets and brand reputation.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and counsel to GSOC personnel (analysts/operators/specialists)
- Lead projects and other tasks received by the GSOC
- Incident management of events impacting the Enterprise.
- Develop and continually reassess GSOC Operational Procedures
- Meet with Global Security Senior Management team continually to provide updates on GSOC roles and responsibilities
- Conduct quality assessments on projects completed by GSOC personnel
- Participate in key external programs applicable to GSOC matters (ie Gov’t info sharing, Private-Public Partnership initiatives)
- Serve as communications hub for the GSOC personnel
- Supervise training and professional development of GSOC personnel
- Log incidents into the incident management platform
- Communicate with business functional leaders to identify/address risk factors
- Maintain GSOC schedule and training
- Provide oversight of GSOC responsibilities such as intelligence gathering, risk analysis, report writing, process compliance, and communication to business partners
- Assist Global Security Management with other tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree/equivalent.
- Five (5) years’ experience in a control center/command and control environment which includes two (2) years’ experience with electronic and computer systems/networks.
- Must be able to receive a Government Security Clearance.
- Knowledge of CCTV, controlled access, recording radio systems, and security hardware devices. Knowledge of global security risks and threats.
- Ability to successfully complete required training programs.
- Strong basic management, human relations, and communication skills.
- Must be able to work multiple shifts and be on call 24/7 in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Non-covered safety sensitive position.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience Considered a Plus:
- Criminal Justice / Homeland Security or Intelligence degree would be plus
- Continued education credentials/certificates such as NIMS courses, ASIS certifications, or public safety certifications would be a plus
- Extensive knowledge of risk and security industry standards
- Proven track record of ability to analyze complex security and risk problems and writing as well as following written policy/procedures
- Solid computer knowledge and skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, SharePoint, and social media
- Ability to communicate at executive level, both written and orally, through superior communication skills
- Experience working cross functionally and with people/groups
- Intelligence, corporate security, and/or military experience is preferred
- Experience working with decision making, multi-tasking, and high stress situations preferred
- Should possess working knowledge of global current events and global geography/cultures
- Experience working within a management or guidance role
- Fluent in English. Willingness to learn additional language skills highly desirable
- Willingness to be available 24/7/365
