What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Product Advisor position at FedEx Services?
Act as a key leader for cross-functional Scrum development team(s) to deliver valuable product enhancements and integrations. Understand and convey the business processes and problems to the Scrum team. This job represents the voice of the customer to elicit, understand, analyze, document, refine and communicate business needs, so that business and/or technical delivery teams can build effective solutions.
1. Define and clearly articulate requirements (user stories and features) and acceptance criteria (use cases).
2. Assists in managing requirements and prioritization within the product backlog through: business value ROI, alignment with product strategy, and resource capacity.
3. Utilize effective communication skills to surface essential requirements information.
4. Own the product vision and product backlog. Manage requirements and prioritization within the product backlog through business value roi, alignment with product strategy, and resource capacity.
5. Coordinate with other product managers and business architects to ensure the cohesiveness of the overall user experience.
6. Stay current on competitive trends/threads and identify opportunities to beat market expectations.
7. Coach, mentor, and support other product analysts. Communicate effectively, manage conflict among team members, and remove impediments.
8. Assists with strategic planning, business capability, value stream, and business process representations needed to model current and target state views of the business.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Five (5) years equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
Master's degree Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree or equivalent* in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment, in lieu of a Master's degree plus 3 years of experience. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirement. Must have 3 years' experience with the following: Project Management and software development lifecycle (SDLC); Data Analysis; Requirement Elicitation; Agile Product Delivery; Product Management; Process Improvement; XML/JSON. *Employer will accept one (1) year of directly related experience in lieu of one (1) year of education. Eligible for telecommuting from home within commuting distance from Coraopolis, PA.
