Job Description
Manage, supervise and coordinate activities related to an office, department or function in an effective, efficient and professional manner. Participate in meetings, discussions, projects and workshops as may pertain to the administration of the services being provided by the respective area. Competently and professionally complete the duties and responsibilities assigned. May be required to develop and facilitate presentations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages the FedEx Institute’s training programs and emerging innovation events, ensuring they address the specific needs of participants and organizations. Collaborates training, revenue and events/initiatives by selecting experts, reviewing content, coordinating and execution of program delivery. Ensures compliance with university policies and regulations by conducting regular reviews to align business practices with institutional requirements.
- Responsible for the development, submission and management of grant applications (Federal, State, Local, Private, etc.) for programmatic efforts related to supporting training and emerging technology initiatives at the FedEx Institute.
- Supports the preparation of financial reports to analyze expenses and forecast future programs or activities. Manages and monitors budgets, promptly identifying and addressing any discrepancies. Provides regular updates to the supervisor on budgetary changes or expenses that may impact financial planning. Manages fixed asset tracking and building maintenance to ensure optimal facility operations. Identifies and addresses inconsistencies, advising the supervisor and implementing corrective actions to maintain alignment and efficiency.
- Provides support for research clusters and collaborates with the supervisor to develop policies and practices tailored to the clusters' needs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in relevant area preferred
- Five (5) years of appropriate experience.
