The Job: Daily Responsibilities
As a Delivery Driver, you are the face of our company and FedEx Ground. Your day includes:
- Safe Operation: Operating a delivery vehicle (Step Van/Box Truck) safely and efficiently on assigned residential and commercial routes.
- Scanning & Accountability: Using a handheld device to accurately scan, track, and log all packages during pick-up and delivery.
- Time Management: Organizing and prioritizing daily delivery schedules to meet strict time windows.
- Customer Service: Providing professional and courteous service to all customers.
- Pre-Trip Duties: Conducting required safety inspections and loading/unloading packages at the station.
Driver Requirements (Must-Haves)
To be eligible for this position, you must meet the following Federal and contractor criteria:
- Age: Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Experience: Must have 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (driving a vehicle 10ft or longer, such as a large van, box truck, Uber/Lyft/DoorDash, etc.) within the last 3 years.
- Safety & Legal:
- Clean driving record (no excessive violations/accidents).
- Ability to pass a mandatory DOT physical, drug screen, and background check.
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to handle and maneuver packages of various weights and sizes (up to 150 lbs with a dolly). This is a physical, fast-paced job requiring frequent lifting, bending, and moving.
- Schedule: Must be available to work early mornings (starts usually between 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM) and available for at least one weekend day (Saturday and/or Sunday) as routes require.
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
