Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Select, educate, develop and lead a staff of employees
- Monitor and manage direct reports workload across the region to ensure timely completion of work orders, prioritizing in-house execution over vendor outsourcing.
- Drive measurable reductions in vendor spend by identifying opportunities for internal execution and tracking cost avoidance metrics.
- Collaborate with direct reports and counterparts to develop cost effective scopes of work and ensure execution aligns with strategic goals.
- Analyze regional repair cost, technician productivity, and vendor usage trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide performance reporting and insights to leadership, including technician utilization, vendor spending, and service levels.
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
- Perform other assignments (or duties) as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience plus five (5) years facility, project management, or related discipline
- Knowledge of LTL trucking facilities, preferred
- Thorough understanding of project management principles / techniques
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrative leadership and conflict resolution skills
- Must possess problem solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to interpret AutoCAD and other drawing mediums preferred
- Strong interpersonal and motivational skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Experience and ability to use Microsoft Office software, including but not limited to; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Travel required
