While this is a remote position, the successful candidate must reside within 50 miles of a FedEx Freight location within the continental US.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for managing the company’s most strategic and complex LTL accounts. Focuses on long-term relationship building, contract negotiation, and delivering customized freight solutions that align with the customer’s supply chain strategy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Serve as the primary contact for top-tier corporate clients.
- Lead the development and execution of strategic account plans.
- Manage and grow revenue from top-tier national and government accounts.
- Conduct high-level negotiations and contract renewals.
- Deliver quarterly business reviews and performance insights.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure service excellence.
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events and client meetings.
- Leverage technology and data to drive customer value.
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales or Related Field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
8 years of sales experience, including 4 years in LTL sales.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong business acumen and project management skills.
High-level negotiation skills for pricing and contract renewals.
In-depth knowledge of LTL operations and pricing models.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
Advanced negotiation and consultative selling skills.
Strong financial acumen and contract negotiation experience.
Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder relationships.
JOB CONDITIONS:
Ability to travel overnight as required.
