What are the responsibilities and job description for the Professional Recruiter position at FedEx Express?
The ideal candidate will be comfortable meeting new people frequently and have an ability to determine a candidate's potential through solid questions. They should have excellent organizational skills in order to build and maintain a pipeline of prospective candidates. Additionally, they should be committed to both meeting and exceeding assigned quotas.
The Professional Recruiter will perform and manage full-cycle recruitment and talent acquisition to hire quality candidates across the organization. This includes sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews with hiring managers, and handling all offer preparation and negotiation. The Professional Recruiter will provide a high level of proactive and consultative support to hiring managers and other internal stakeholders. Continuously driving the process and assuring the best candidates are hired while positively impacting first year retention.
• Complete all aspects of recruitment, candidate sourcing & processing including intake meetings, requisitions, job descriptions, advertisements, candidate reviews, screens, compensation analysis, negotiations, offers, employment-contingent tests, and retention support
• Act as a strategic business partner to supervisors and managers to build strong relationships throughout the company & foster partnerships with internal & external stakeholders to anticipate & develop short & long term recruitment goals based on business development strategies & surges, and to implement best practices for recruitment & retention of quality candidates with training, guidance, recommendations, and regular & timely updates
• Create recruitment tactics to build a talent pipeline and attract new & experienced candidates; attend or coordinate recruitment events; proactively initiate & maintain relationships with local chambers of commerce, professional organizations, educational institutions & other job seekers sources & referral organizations; help develop co-op, internship & other programs; serve on boards or committees; and provide input regarding desired workforce qualifications & attributes
• Track and trend open positions & turnover rates for departments & service-lines to meet productivity goals and recruitment & retention initiatives (such as, hiring volumes, % candidate diversity, turnover, etc.)
• Maintain knowledge of local, state, and national employment laws, labor & recruitment trends, and best practices
• Act as a liaison between new staff & management to effectively onboard new hires, communicate with new staff at 30-60-90 days to identify & resolve issues, and help provide a positive customer experience
• Coach, counsel, support, mentor, and provide recommendations to managers on interaction with candidates that promotes healthy retention within the company
• Advise employees and managers on Human Resources related policies, programs and procedures as needed
• All other duties as needed
