This is an interview position

Provides technical customs regulations expertise to internal and external customers pertaining to Canadian and international customs regulations and legislation. Acts as a qualified representative for FedEx management in customs consulting to customers and global sales. Provides customer satisfaction through efficient problem resolution. Plans and implements GTS projects as assigned and works as a management assist person. Interacts with local government agencies in order to protest/follow through to resolve any Administrative Monetary Penalty System (AMPS) penalties.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Educational Requirements

Post Secondary:

  • Bachelor's degree/educational equivalent
  • CCS Designation
  • EXCEL - If not Excel certified must successfully complete the professional development stream within one year from start date.

Related Experience Requirements

Minimum number of years required for entry to this job

  • GTS - 3.5 years
  • Current customs experience required including commodity classification, valuation laws and other governmental agency requirements

Amount of time required to learn or adjust to the job

  • 1 year

Other Specific Mandatory Experience Requirements

  • Incumbents must maintain their CCS designation when in this position. Must achieve annual recurrency points.

Technical Skill Requirements

Solid Knowledge Of The Following:

  • Thorough knowledge of GTS clearance systems.
  • Knowledge of FedEx Express operations, systems and procedures
