Schedule: This is a full-time position that requires regular travel and overnight stays throughout the assigned multi-state territory. As a consultant, you will also have the flexibility to set your own schedule to best meet the needs of our members within the territory and attend meetings.


YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR SAFETY AND LOSS PREVENTION CONSULTANT

In this role, you'll work with rural member utilities to assess safety practices and identify risks while delivering tailored recommendations. You'll lead training sessions, meet with field staff, and act as a trusted advisor to provide practical solutions. Additionally, you'll maintain communication with state contacts and contribute bi-annual reports to align Federated with industry trends.

Here's what we need from you:

  • 5 years of experience as a Journeyman Lineman or in electric utility operations
  • Solid knowledge of electric utility operations, loss and risk management principles, and federal OSHA regulations
  • Strong communication skills and a member-focused, professional demeanor
  • Flexibility and responsiveness in handling multiple tasks, emergencies, or stressful situations
  • Willingness and ability to travel overnight on a regular basis

A bachelor's degree in safety management, loss prevention, risk control, or an equivalent field is a plus. Experience in electric utility safety is also a plus!
