We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist located in Pittsburgh, PA.

What You’ll Do

This is a full stack data science opportunity working with the latest technologies in the Azure Cloud, including Databricks and OpenAI. You will have the opportunity to drive the full data science lifecycle from strategy to data preparation and algorithm development to communicating the answer in a way a non-data scientist will understand. A proactive, creative, curious mind-set, along with a desire to influence your own development, will go a long way.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) related field or a similar quantitative analytics field.
• Up to 4 years of professional experience including exposure to data science concepts and computational tools. (i.e., Python, Spark (PySpark), LLMs); Professional, internship or project-based experience preferred.
• Familiarity with various database structures and experience working with large datasets.
• Exposure to data science tools and platforms that support data preparation, algorithm development, and visualization (e.g., pandas, Jupyter Notebooks, Power BI).
• Intermediate technical and analytical abilities with programming skills in a language such as Python.
• Intermediate understanding of the techniques to collect, organize, blend, cleanse and synthesize large volumes of disparate data.
• Ability to effectively communicate data-driven insights to other non-technical business partners.
• Additional experience in areas such as building machine learning algorithms, model tracking and deployment, developing LLM agents, RAG models, and time series forecasting is highly valued.
