Duties
- Patrol designated areas regularly to deter unauthorized access, theft, and vandalism
- Monitor CCTV surveillance systems to identify suspicious activity and ensure perimeter security
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies with confidence and professionalism
- Enforce access control procedures for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Conduct thorough inspections of premises, including security checks on personnel and property
- Utilize conflict management skills to de-escalate tense situations safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders during incidents or investigations
- Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security records accurately and promptly
Experience
- Prior experience in security operations, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of surveillance techniques using CCTV systems and alarm monitoring tools
- Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous for emergency response readiness
- Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and conflict management practices
- Ability to handle stressful situations with composure and professionalism
- Strong understanding of security protocols, access control procedures, and emergency procedures
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and external agencies
- Certification in OC spray, Taser, defensive weapons, handcuffing preferred or willingness to obtain certifications
Pay
- Unarmed officers start at $17.50/hr.
- Armed officers start at $20.00/hr.
