Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Federal Way, WA, for a Journey Level Mechanic. The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Rebuilds and repairs components and auxiliary systems on vehicles or makes component exchanges.
- Performs minor body repairs and painting on vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair on power train components, brake systems, chassis components and body, lighting, heating, and electrical systems.
- Interprets parts lists, assembly drawings, technical orders and maintenance procedures concerning gasoline and diesel-powered buses and other equipment.
- Completes work orders with proper cost and time data.
- Perform bus driver assignments on an occasional basis, as needed.
- Perform necessary tests, including road tests, to ensure that repairs made are adequate
- Serve as a member of the Transportation Team of the District; perform related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
- Experience within a school district or a related field is beneficial
