What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Dental Assistant position at Federal Way Dental Excellence?
Established, privately owned practice in Federal Way seeking an experienced dental assistant to join our team. 4-day work week.
- 2 years chairside experience REQUIRED for this position!
We will consider newer assistants or assistants with less experience for our sterile tech. position, which offers the ability to move up. ($20-26/hr. DOE).
Responsibilities
- Proficiency in digital x-rays (preferred experience taking intra-oral photos and digital scans)
- Rubber dam placement.
- MUST HAVE skill: Packing cord and making temporary crowns
- Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology, instruments and equipment
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
- Assist during procedures 4-handed dentistry (including filling, crown, root canal, oral surgery, & implants)
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Placing Invisalign attachments, taking impressions
- Preferred knowledge & experience assisting with full-mouth restorative, implants, and complex treatment plan.
Qualifications:
- CDA/RDA License Required
- Current CPR certification
