Manufacturing Turret Operator, 2nd Shift

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Manufacturing Turret Operator on the 2nd shift! In this vital role, you will operate and maintain turret punch presses and related machinery to produce high-quality metal components efficiently and safely. Your expertise in machine operation, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and precision measurement will ensure our products meet rigorous quality standards. • Pay is $24.00 - 27.00/Hr
• 2nd Shift, is 3:00PM-1:00AM, Monday - Thursday
• 2nd Shift premium, $3.00/Hr
• Most be able train on first shift for approximately 90 days, from 5:00AM - 3:00PM

Duties

1. Actual assignments include turret operations, de-nesting, and other work the production lead sees as appropriate

2. Set-up, adjust and operate CNC Turret or other similar punch press to produce parts in accordance with instructions.

3. Set-up, align and secure dies, set stripper, knock out, ejecting and safety devices.

4. Set and adjust feeds and cycle through operation to ensure proper operation. May make simple adjustments to programs as authorized.

5. Will cross train on the Laser Machine may occur

6. Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications and correct equipment settings necessary

7. Calibrate or adjust equipment to ensure quality production using tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, protractors, and ring gauges

8. Start up and shut down processing equipment

9. Collect hazardous or non-hazardous waste in correctly labeled barrels or other containers and transfer them to collection areas

10. Provide production, progress, or changeover reports to shift supervisors

11. Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance

12. Clean production equipment and work areas; Select cleaning materials, tools, and equipment

13. Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products

14. Prepare and assemble materials

15. Provide advice or training to other technicians

16. Assist Engineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes and new products, processes, or procedures

17. Set up and verify functionality of safety equipment on machines

18. Measure and record data associated with operating equipment

19. Test products or subassemblies for functionality or quality

20. Regular and punctual attendance

21. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and/or Skills required

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

· Minimum if 2 to 3 years Turret operator experience

· Strong Mechanical Aptitude and Spatial Relations

· Math, reading, and language skills able to effectively utilize company information systems

· Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.

· Knowledge and ability in blueprint reading and metrology

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task is crucial

· Manufacturing and ISO 9001:2015 experience, preferred

During the performance of his/her work duties, the incumbent will regularly lift up to 50 pounds and will frequently lift up to 25 pounds, such as removing materials from shipping containers.

The employee works in a manufacturing environment and is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and work in high places. He/she is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is loud.
