What You’ll Do
As a Welder at TBEI, you’ll play a hands-on role in building high-quality truck bodies, hoists, and fabricated components.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate welding equipment to weld and assemble truck bodies, hoists, and fabricated parts (including robotic welding equipment, as applicable).
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and measuring devices.
- Make welding equipment adjustments as needed to meet quality and production standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives by following process flow and remaining flexible to support team needs.
- Rotate between machines and jigs within the job area as required by scheduling, team needs, or safety recommendations.
What We’re Looking For
Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to perform basic math for measuring, assembling, and problem-solving.
- Ability to demonstrate welding ability and successfully pass required welding certifications.
- Ability to read and understand complicated instructions, blueprints, and work orders.
- Basic computer skills for simple data entry.
- Ability and willingness to learn and operate multiple machines and jigs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to manually move products and materials up to 50 pounds through regular physical activity, including climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and bending.
- Ability to stand and work in various positions for several hours at a time.
- Work is primarily performed on concrete surfaces, ladders, and inside dump bodies.
Pay & Schedule
- Wages: $22.00–$28.00 per hour
- $1.00/hour stainless steel premium (when applicable)
- Pay Type: Non-exempt, hourly (bi-weekly pay)
- Schedule: Four (4) 10-hour days, Monday–Thursday
Overtime as needed on Fridays - Location: On-site – 52182 Ember Road, Lake Crystal, MN 56055
- Travel: Minimal to none
