What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Supervisor position at Federal Signal?
Ground Force dba TowHaul has an opening for a Warehouse Supervisor. Qualified candidates will be leading the daily execution of material and warehouse management processes to fully support safe, efficient, and reliable production operations. This role will provide a strong, visible presence of leadership on the shop floor throughout TowHaul & partners cross functionally to ensure material readiness, inventory accuracy, and effective material flow in alignment with corporate objectives. The materials supervisor plays a key role in supporting increased production and overall increased throughput initiatives by proactively identifying and removing material constraints and any other constraints related to overall warehouse operations & logistics, while staying focused on inventory health, including the prevention and reduction of excess and obsolete inventory.
Starting Wage $23.00/hour depending on experience.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of 12 warehouse employees, including scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management
- Oversee all shipping and receiving operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company procedures
- Manage inventory levels, accuracy, and organization within the warehouse
- Ensure proper material flow to support production and customer demand
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with internal departments and external carriers
- Enforce safety policies, housekeeping standards, and proper use of equipment
- Monitor and improve warehouse processes for efficiency, cost control, and service levels
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and system transactions (ERP/WMS)
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to inventory, shipping, or receiving
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the materials and warehouse functions
