Summary Description:
Under the direction of Purchasing & Inventory Manager, the Inventory Control Specialist I is responsible for shipping and receiving, warehouse management, loading/unloading materials, utilizing loading equipment, and order filling.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Be conscious of customer-focused objectives.
- Be able to operate loading equipment for organizing, storing, and transporting goods in the warehouse.
- Be the main point of contact for shipping and receiving of incoming packages as well as outgoing orders.
- Utilize inventory management software to process order shipments.
- Ensure all warehouse locations and outside lot are organized.
- Be conscious of departmental objectives and make decisions accordingly.
- Provide ongoing support for field service and installation personnel.
- Coordinate with multiple departments on product movement throughout the warehouse.
- Perform basic, general building maintenance and other duties as assigned.
- Be an advocate for and knowledgeable about ensuring building safety.
- Accurately complete timesheets daily.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws applicable to position.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and expectations to the benefit of the organization and co-workers.
- Positively contribute to the company’s goal of maintaining a safe, healthy, productive, and enjoyable workplace.
Education Requirements:
Education/Training: Any combination of education and training that provides the required skill and knowledge. Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Loading equipment/forklift certification(s)
- OSHA certification
- Warehouse safety certification
Knowledge:
Basic knowledge of inventory database systems and Salesforce. Familiar with bills of lading, carriers such as UPS and FedEx, and a good understanding of transportation logistics.
Skills:
- Operation and training of forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Experience with Microsoft products like Work, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with shipping and receiving materials.
Physical Requirements:
Lift and carry 25-75lbs, handled materials vary.
Frequently exposed to seasonal temperatures of excessive cold or heat.

FLSA Status:
Non-exempt
Hours of Work:
7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. but must be flexible to service customers.
Salary : $38,000 - $46,000
