What are the responsibilities and job description for the Afterschool Instructional Tutor position at Federal Programs?
Reports to: Executive Director of Federal Programs
Terms of Employment: Part-time Position
Location: Level Up Academy
Qualifications and Licensure:
- Knowledge of current teaching standards and research-base teaching strategies
- Evidence of teacher effectiveness (assessment data or EVAAS teacher effectiveness data)
- Active North Carolina Teaching License
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilizes student data and observations of student work to determine student needs
- Plans daily intervention lessons that are based on student need and the NC Standard Course of Study.
- Facilitates engaging small group instruction for students
- Maintains open communication with the student’s regular classroom teacher and their parent/guardian to ensure student needs are being met
- Maintains records of student progress and attendance
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
