Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and treatment planning
- Provide medication management and ongoing behavioral health care
- Support crisis intervention, stabilization, and acute psychiatric admissions
- Perform daily rounding, documentation, and collaborative care with nursing social work teams
- Participate in interdisciplinary case reviews and treatment planning
- Ensure compliance with state and facility standards of care
- MD or DO with Psychiatry Board Certification (BE accepted)
- Active North Carolina medical license (or ability to obtain)
- DEA license required
- 1–2 years experience in inpatient adult psychiatry
- Experience with crisis stabilization and acute psychiatric care
- Locum tenens / travel experience preferred, but not required
Salary : $55 - $60
