Travel Cath Lab Tech

We are seeking an experienced Travel Cath Lab Tech to join the Interventional Cardiology team at Watauga Medical Center in Boone, NC. This position involves assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, supporting a high-performing cardiovascular services department.

This is an excellent assignment for a technologist skilled in scrub, circulate, or monitor duties, and comfortable working in a fast-paced cath lab with strong physician and RN collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures (PCI, angiography, STEMI, vascular interventions)
• Perform or support scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring roles
• Operate imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
• Prep and position patients, manage supplies, and ensure sterile technique
• Assist with vascular access, contrast injection setup, and radiation safety
• Participate in STEMI call (if required by facility)
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and procedural staff
  
  

Requirements

• RCIS certification preferred (or ARRT with Cath Lab experience)
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• 1–2 years recent Cath Lab experience
• Strong experience with interventional cardiology procedures
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring systems
• Previous travel experience helpful but not required
