Help Build a Practice From Day One
Federal Injury Specialists is launching a new outpatient physical therapy practice in the Greater Hartford area and is seeking a Connecticut-licensed Physical Therapist to join us at the ground level.
This is more than a staff PT position. As one of the practice’s first key clinicians, you will work directly with ownership to help build the clinical foundation of the office, establish workflows, develop referral relationships, and help recruit and onboard future PTs, PTAs, and support staff.
What You’ll Do
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based outpatient physical therapy
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional recovery and return to work
- Maintain clear, timely, and thorough clinical documentation
- Communicate effectively with referring physicians, case managers, employers, and other care-team members
- Help establish practical clinical workflows and office protocols
- Support referral relationships and practice growth
- Help recruit, onboard, and mentor future clinical and support staff
- Take on increasing leadership responsibility as the practice grows
Who We’re Looking For
We want a PT who is clinically strong, entrepreneurial, collaborative, and excited to help build something meaningful—someone who wants a voice in how a practice develops rather than simply stepping into an established system.
Experience in outpatient orthopedics, occupational rehabilitation, workers’ compensation, work-related injuries, or return-to-work planning is strongly preferred.
Requirements:
- Active, unrestricted Connecticut PT license, or eligibility to obtain one before the anticipated start date
- DPT or equivalent recognized physical therapy degree
- Strong clinical, communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care
Opportunity for Long-Term Growth
For the right clinician who demonstrates leadership, contributes to practice growth, and remains committed over time, we are open to discussing a performance-based equity interest, profit participation, or other long-term incentive arrangement.
Any such arrangement would be based on defined performance milestones and a separate written agreement and would be subject to applicable law and the final structure of the practice. It is not guaranteed as part of the initial compensation package.
