What You’ll Experience
As an Information Security Governance intern at FHLBank, you’ll:
- Support security control inventory management, validation, and testing to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Assist in executing phishing simulation campaigns and tracking results to improve organizational resilience.
- Participate in access certification processes to maintain secure user access across systems.
- Contribute to security awareness training initiatives to promote best practices and reduce risk.
- Apply strong problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate across teams and present analytical results effectively
- Contribute to meaningful projects that align with your field of study
- Gain exposure to the finance and banking industry
- Participate in team-building activities, a group project, a community service event, and professional development sessions (including dining etiquette!)
We’re seeking students who:
- Have completed at least their sophomore year of undergraduate studies. Graduate students encouraged to apply!
- Are majoring in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security, Risk and Compliance
- Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
- Work well independently and in team settings
- Are detail-oriented, organized, and eager to solve problems
- 10-week paid internship
