As a FedEx Intern, you will be working on projects gaining you valuable, real-world experience in a professional environment as it relates to your field of study.
Essential Functions
- Present and deliver long-term solutions that will have significant impacts to the business and/or customer experience.
- Participates in various networking and/or community service events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
Currently enrolled student or recent college graduate (within 6 months of graduation) at a college/university obtaining a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Degree: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Statistics or other quantitative discipline.
Minimum Experience
No experience required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to work productively and proactively, both independently or as a part of a team.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills.
Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals.
Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with across business units and to all levels of management.
Ability to analyze, review, and make recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Academic Background:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related business field. Coursework or a minor in Business Analytics, Data Science, or Statistics is a strong plus.
Core Finance Foundations:
- Basic understanding of corporate finance concepts and financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Good comfort level with Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, data formatting, and familiarity with Pivot Tables).
Data & Analytics Exposure (Highly Desired):
- Classroom exposure or basic familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Introductory knowledge of SQL or Python (e.g., completed introductory coursework, personal projects, or student club activities) is highly preferred.
Key Attributes:
- Strong analytical mindset with a high attention to detail.
- Curiosity and a strong willingness to learn new software, tools, and financial systems.
- Collaborative team player with good communication skills.

Pay Transparency:
Pay: Salary is $25/hour for undergraduates and $30/hour for graduates. A $2,000 stipend is available for those relocating over 50 miles for an onsite or hybrid internship or co-op experience
Additional Details: This position will be hybrid in Plano, TX and candidates must live within a 50-mile radius. Employees will be required to work at a FedEx office location up to several times per week.
