Role Description This full-time, on-site Correctional Officer role is located in the United States and is responsible for maintaining the safety, security, and orderly operation of a federal correctional institution. The Correctional Officer supervises individuals in custody, conducts regular counts, searches, and inspections, and enforces rules and regulations to prevent incidents and maintain discipline. Daily responsibilities include monitoring living and work areas, escorting incarcerated individuals within and outside the facility, and responding promptly and effectively to emergencies. Qualifications
- Strong law enforcement and criminal justice knowledge, including understanding of correctional policies, procedures, and legal standards.
- Demonstrated supervisory skills and the ability to lead, direct, and motivate individuals in a structured, high-security environment.
- Experience or training in physical security, such as perimeter control, access management, incident response, and safety protocols.
