Essential duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
- • Meal preparation
• Stand-by assistance
• Medication reminders and assistance
• Companionship (playing games, going for walks, engaging in conversation, etc.)
• Light house chores
• Driving to appointments, running errands, etc.
• Showering, bathing, grooming assistance
Compensation:
- Base rate of $22 - $23.50/hr, depending on experience

Minimum requirements for employment:
- • Active HCA or CNA license valid in the State of Washington (HCA paid training is available)
• Smartphone for time and attendance software
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires strong time management skills, interpersonal skills, patience, listening skills, and knowledge of generally accepted care standards. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, through various channels, including in-person, phone, email, and text messages. This position requires demonstrated experience and tact in communicating with diverse populations. This includes the ability to recognize and understand the differences, needs, experiences, values, lifestyles, and ages of the populations served. Must have the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service standards in stressful situations. This position requires regular local travel and reliable transportation to assigned client locations and does require a smartphone for clocking in/out of the system.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None. Escalated matters of significance are referred to the Home Care Supervisor or Manager.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• Requires a minimum of six months of industry-related experience.
• For Washington State employees: Certified Nursing Assistant (C-NA), Home Care Aide (HCA), Home Health Aide (HHA) license is required to maintain employment (Fedelta does offer a fully compensated licensure program for those interested in continuing employment!) - licenses must remain in good standing during employment.
CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR REGISTRATIONS:
RN Delegation certification is highly desired. A valid driver's license, satisfactory driver abstracts, and proof of auto insurance are required for individuals who drive while engaged in duties for Fedelta Home Care (not required). Must have the ability to successfully complete pre-employment and ongoing background checks.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must have experience with or the technical aptitude to proficiently use records management systems and health care programs such as WellSky Personal Care.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee's work is typically moderate. The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds when assisting with direct patient care. The employee may seldom be required to lift and/or move more than 100 pounds, assisted when providing direct patient care. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, lift, balance, use hands to finger, handle, grasp, or feel; talk and hear; bend and reach with hands and arms; and use repetitive motion of wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Occasionally required to climb ladders or steps, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Visual acuity is necessary to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data; viewing a computer terminal; reading; operating office equipment; operating a motor vehicle; and determining accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of assigned work.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to both inside and outside environmental conditions while conducting home visits and traveling between locations. May occasionally be exposed to atmospheric conditions during in-home visits, such as fumes, odors, dusts, mists, or poor ventilation. May be exposed to infectious diseases. The noise level in the work environment is low and typical of what is experienced in a traditional home or office environment.
