Fedelta Home Care is actively looking for a new or experienced caregiver to work with clients located in Bellingham, Fairhaven, Ferndale, Lynden, Laurel and across Whatcom County WA!

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:**
- Assesses patient condition by monitoring vital signs, recording intake and output, reviewing care documentation, and keeping family members appropriately informed.
```
- Administers prescribed treatments, including medication support, dressing changes, oxygen administration, and maintenance of oxygen equipment and supplies.
```
- Documents patient information accurately in care records and promptly reports any changes or unusual conditions to the agency supervisor.
```
- Provides transportation for patients to and from appointments, errands, and other activities as needed and as appropriate.
```
- Supports patient independence by teaching and reinforcing assisted living techniques, such as safe use of mobility aids (cane, walker), adaptive eating utensils, and personal care equipment.
```
- Assists with personal care needs, including bathing, grooming, toileting, shower assistance, and other activities of daily living.
```
- Educates and supports family members in safe patient care practices, including proper lifting, turning, and repositioning techniques, and connects them with additional home care resources as needed.
```
- Maintains a clean, safe, and healthy home environment by following agency standards, including light housekeeping tasks such as linen changes, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning kitchen and bathroom areas, as well as managing personal laundry and general home safety.
```
- Prepares nutritious meals in accordance with prescribed dietary requirements, including planning, cooking, and serving meals and snacks.
```
- Ensures continuity of care by documenting all care provided, observations, and ongoing needs in patient records for the next caregiver.
```
- Maintains professional knowledge and certification as a CNA/HCA through ongoing education, training, and professional development.
```
- Protects the organization by adhering to all professional standards, agency policies and procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Active caregiver license valid in the State of Washington OR willingness to complete HCA training (fully paid and compensated for by Fedelta!)
- Smartphone (iPhone, Android, Googlephone, etc.) for time and attendance software
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Must be able to reliably commute to your client's location
