Job Summary:
The Design Drafter II position supports Featherlite’s high-performance aluminum trailer manufacturing operation through product design, manufacturing support, continuous improvement, and accountability for quality, cost, delivery, and safety.
- Create and maintain CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
- Support trailer design, customization, and product development.
- Participate in design reviews and engineering change processes.
- Collaborate with Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Quality.
- Drive manufacturability, quality, and cost improvements.
- Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
- Demonstrate ownership and accountability for assigned work.
- Deliver work on schedule.
- Maintain high drawing accuracy.
- Reduce rework and production disruptions.
- Support customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to continuous improvement.
