Responsibilities:
- Own hardware designs from Concept → CAD → prototype → production.
- Lead fit, finish, and performance mechanical designs.
- Design for manufacturing: machining, injection molding, assembly, and die casting.
- Run FEA, thermal management analysis, and reliability testing.
- Create detailed GD&T drawings and assembly documents for production.
- Some electrical engineering work related to wire routing, battery management systems, battery monitoring systems and more.
- Hands on building with fabrication tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum Senior level experience.
- Experience at a large consumer product firm is a plus (2 years ).
- Expert CAD skills (Fusion is a bonus).
- Experience in machining, injection molding, die casting, and assembly.
- Expert GD&T knowledge.
- Solid understanding of FEA, thermal analysis, materials, and reliability testing.
- Hands-on experience with prototypes, shop tools, and bringing hardware to life.
- Exposure to electrical engineering is a big plus.
- Some leadership experience.
