About The Role:

As the Raw Ingredients Sourcing Manager at Feastables, you will play a critical role in developing and executing sourcing strategies for a wide range of raw materials essential to the confectionery industry. Collaborating with R&D, product development, marketing, regulatory, and supply chain teams, you'll ensure sourcing strategies align with business objectives while meeting domestic and international compliance requirements. Your efforts will help drive cost optimization, seamless production, and sustainability initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for a wide range of confectionery ingredients, including sugar, cocoa, vanilla, dairy, oils, fats, syrups, nuts, grains, flavorings, and inclusions
• Monitor and analyze global commodity markets to anticipate price fluctuations, identify trends, and capitalize on strategic opportunities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality, cost-effective sourcing aligned with business objectives
• Lead supplier negotiations on pricing, contracts, and supply terms, while continuously evaluating potential new suppliers to drive competitive advantages
• Manage the RFP process, including bid analysis, contract negotiations, and blanket purchase agreements for raw materials
• Oversee raw material purchase orders, balancing market trends, inventory levels, and pricing forecasts to optimize procurement
• Partner with R&D, Product Development, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to source ingredients that meet quality, functionality, and performance standards
• Serve as the sourcing expert in discussions around new product development, ensuring strategic alignment and risk mitigation
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and tools to provide insights into commodity markets, enabling data-driven decision-making
• Provide strategic recommendations to optimize procurement processes and mitigate risks across the supply chain
• Champion sustainability initiatives by implementing ethical sourcing practices aligned with certifications such as FairTrade USA, FairTrade International, Rainforest Alliance, and RSPO
  
  

Recipe for Success:

• 3 years of experience in raw material sourcing or procurement, ideally within the food and beverage or confectionery industry
• Strong knowledge of commodity markets and ingredients used in confectionery production, including sweeteners, dairy, oils, flavors, and inclusions
• Familiarity with domestic and international regulatory requirements for food ingredients
• Proven ability to analyze market trends and make strategic sourcing decisions
• Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier relationship management skills
• Experience with sustainability initiatives and ethical sourcing best practices
• Proficiency in data analytics and reporting tools to support procurement strategies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
