The Facilities Technician ensures a safe, functional, and welcoming environment across all Fearless! properties, with a primary focus on residential facilities. By performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep, this role directly supports the well-being of survivors and the effectiveness of agency operations.
What You'll Bring Along
High School/Trade School diploma.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of General Maintenance Experience.
Proficiency in hands-on general maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and preventative maintenance.
Valid Driver's License, Auto Insurance, and reliable transportation to travel between the agency's office sites and other locations throughout the service region.
Physical ability to meet the demands of the role, including lifting up to 60 pounds, navigating stairs, and performing seasonal maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Maintenance, Safety, and Projects
Perform routine maintenance and repair work, including carpentry, drywall, painting, electrical, and plumbing tasks.
Ensure agency fleet, equipment, and appliances are in good working condition, identifying and addressing issues promptly.
Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize disruptions and ensure operational readiness.
Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free facilities, including trash removal and seasonal upkeep such as snow removal and walkway salting.
Prepare facilities for inspections in compliance with NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) regulations and building codes.
Assists with managing agency vehicle maintenance, ensuring they are regularly serviced and in good repair.
- Reports To: Director of Facilities and Information Systems
- Primary Worksite: 280 Broadway, Newburgh, NY.
- Travel Required: Travel to office sites and other locations throughout Orange and Sullivan counties is required.
- Work Hours: Part-Time Flexible, per week, primarily Monday-Friday. Some weekends may be required.
