What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Coordinator position at Fear 2 Freedom?
The Programs Coordinator is responsible for multiple facets of Fear 2 Freedom’s (F2F) host school outreach and sexual assault prevention education training programs. This position coordinates all aspects of F2F’s programs and host school relationships. This position is responsible for booking at colleges/universities and community partners. This is a full time 37.5 hours a week, hybrid, salary position.
The Programs Coordinator’s responsibilities include:
- Maintain strong relationships with prospective and current host school partners to book F2F programs.
- Prospect, schedule and present Fear 2 Freedom’s programs in the community.
- Serve as primary contact and secondary presenter at all H2E programs.
- Serve as primary contact and presenter at all Kit Packing programs.
- Create and distribute Memorandum of Understanding for host school partners prior to the event.
- Maintain professional and timely communication with schools and community partners regarding program events, logistics, and follow-up.
- Coordinate logistics with Programs Associate to prep and pack for programs.
- Serve as secondary contact for Programs Associate event and logistics support.
- Attend F2F events and programs (which may include nights and weekends).
- Plan Hour 2 Empower programs (virtual & in-person) and outreach initiatives to engage students from diverse campuses, groups, & communities.
- Build & maintain relationships with student groups.
- Manage and execute Kit Packing program surveys and data collection process (i.e. Programs Summary).
- Maintain accurate and reliable host school data, leads/prospects, contacts and solicitations.
- Attend program committee meetings with key members of the Board of Directors.
- Participate in the planning for strategic growth and expansion.
- Generate and distribute programming invoices to host schools, community partners, and F2F staff as appropriate.
- Coordinate grant invoicing summary process with CEO.
- Coordinate volunteer opportunities to deepen engagement and expand F2F’s reach.
- Report volunteer and intern hours for monthly organizational dashboard (i.e. AfterCare & iCare Kits, Hospital Partners, New Partners, Total Partners, Attendees Impacted, and Volunteer Hours).
- Support the planning and execution of F2F special events by coordinating with vendors, volunteers, and community partners.
- Assist team with other tasks when needed.
- Participate in planning for strategic growth and expansion.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Applicants must reside in the Hampton Roads area or be willing to travel regularly throughout the region to support organizational programming, events, and partner engagement.
- A positive, welcoming attitude and outstanding internal/external customer. service skills, including handling issues with sensitivity.
- Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner and to communicate. effectively and appropriately with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills, ability to prioritize projects, efficient and accurate in completing tasks as required attending to details and able to anticipate and meet deadlines while working under pressure of multiple and changing priorities.
- Strong aptitude to work in a collaborative team setting on multiple projects and programs.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, and Google suite required.
