Role Description
We are seeking a Safety Manager to oversee and implement workplace safety programs at our various project locations with headquarters being in Melrose, FL. This is a full-time position requiring a hands-on approach to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Key responsibilities include conducting safety audits, delivering safety training, investigating workplace accidents, and coordinating health and safety initiatives aimed at creating a safe work environment. The Safety Manager will work closely with teams across departments to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Occupational Health and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) practices
- Proven experience in Safety Training and conducting Accident Investigations
- Strong understanding of Industrial Safety standards and compliance requirements
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field preferred
- Certifications such as OSHA Compliance, CSP (Certified Safety Professional), or equivalent are advantageous
- Ability to analyze data and produce actionable safety protocols
- Prior experience in the detention or construction industry is a plus
