What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director of Safety position at FDR Safety?
FDRsafety is seeking an Assistant Director of Safety for a large manufacturing client near Broken Arrow, OK. This position will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment by auditing safety performance, revising safety policies and procedures as needed, and safety training for a single site facility.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH) preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety management, preferably in manufacturing.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations, including OSHA, EPA, etc.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence employees at all levels of the organization.
- Experience developing and implementing safety training programs, conducting hazard assessments, and managing incident investigations.
