Our client is one of NYC's most active affordable housing general contractors, currently executing one of the largest NYCHA PACT programs in the city - a landmark portfolio-scale engagement spanning occupied rehabilitation, capital improvements, and community facility work across multiple buildings.
They are seeking a Project Executive to sit at the centre of both their business development effort and their construction delivery. Working directly with the principals, this person will lead preconstruction activity, contribute to RFP pursuits and client relationships, and take full ownership of a significant rehabilitation scheme from mobilisation through to closeout
Responsibilities
- Lead projects end-to-end - from early preconstruction and estimating through construction, closeout, and client handover
- Drive preconstruction activities including budgeting, value engineering, subcontractor procurement, and constructability reviews
- Serve as the senior point of contact for developers, HPD, HDC, NYCHA, and other regulatory stakeholders
- Build and maintain client relationships - actively contributing to business development, proposal preparation, and new project pursuit
- Mentor and manage project teams, including Project Managers, Superintendents, and field staff
- Maintain financial oversight across multiple simultaneous projects - tracking budgets, change orders, and forecasts
- Ensure full compliance with affordable housing regulatory requirements, funding source obligations, and city agency standards
Experience
- 12 years of construction experience with a GC, including meaningful time in an executive or senior PM capacity
- Deep experience in NYC affordable housing - NYCHA, PACT, HPD, HDC, LIHTC, or comparable programs
- Track record of managing projects from inception to completion, with accountability for schedule, budget, and client relationships
- Business development - proposal writing, client presentations, and relationship management
- Strong communicator with the gravitas to lead both internal teams and external stakeholder groups
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
Salary : $200,000 - $300,000
