General Function
The position will be responsible for the daily operations, growth, and profitability of the FDI Distribution Center. The candidate will be self-motivated, creative, and accurate, with strong leadership and management skills. The candidate must also have high moral and ethical values and excellent communication skills. Hours of operation are seven days a week. Specific scheduling for this position will be discussed during the interview process and will adjust based on the fluctuation of business and holidays.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Takes care of customers' needs in a prompt, efficient, and friendly manner.
- Manages employee labor and scheduling.
- Responsible for hiring, training, reviewing, and disciplining of employees.
- Coordinates pricing structures and merchandise to meet warehouse and department sales goals.
- Sets the standards for employees on customer service, employee behavior, and customer satisfaction.
- Reviews and is responsible for inventory and company assets.
- Reviews and is responsible for implementing new and existing business and accounting processes.
- Reviews and approves non-capital expenditures.
- Reports specific details on financial performance and sales trends of Distribution Center.
- Keeps aware of industry and market area to provide the best service to customers.
- Attends company meetings and participates in on- and off-site trade shows.
- Represents FDI to customers in a positive manner.
- Maintains a positive and nurturing attitude with employees to create a friendly, team-based environment.
- Maintains store operations according to all policy and is responsible for operations, even in absence.
- Reports to work when scheduled and on time; works evenings and weekends as needed.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as backup for some of the procurement duties.
- Serves as a backup for sales, warehouse, and delivery functions.
- Coordinates with administrative staff to accomplish FDI projects.
- Performs miscellaneous other duties.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:
- Must be customer service driven and able to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to read and obey MSDS information on products.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.
- Must have the ability to carry out detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to file, post, sort, and organize materials, paperwork and software used.
Education and Experience:
High School or equivalent. Two to Five years of similar or related experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to perform light to moderate physical work; exerting/lifting 50 - 100 lbs. of force occasionally, 10-40 lbs. frequently.
- Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, talking, climbing, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, hearing, and repetitive motions.
- Must be able to perform work duties in a refrigerated environment.
Working Conditions:
The duties of this position are performed in a warehouse setting. There is frequent exposure to noise and continual exposure to warehouse temperature changes.
Equipment Used To Perform Job:
Personal Computer with Word, Excel, Outlook, SBT and Accumatica/Savant accounting and warehouse management programs; training on computer software will be provided. Able to operate menu driven computer programs with mouse, 10 key keypad, and alpha numeric keyboard. Scanner, digital camera, copier, and fax, knife, flower cutter, strapper, box stapler, floor scrubber, pallet jack, lift jack, other warehousing equipment. FDI delivery vehicles and valid driver’s license.
