Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto body repair and restoration, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition while providing exceptional customer service.
Duties
- Perform auto body repairs, including dent removal, frame straightening, and panel replacement
- Utilize MIG, STRW and Aluminum welding techniques for structural repairs and fabrication tasks
- Conduct vehicle maintenance checks and repairs as needed
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for various repair tasks
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with co-workers regarding repair processes and timelines
- Estimate repair costs accurately and provide detailed reports for supplemental process
- Handle heavy lifting as required during the repair process
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a collision shop setting is preferred but not required
- Proficiency in auto body repair techniques, including sheet metal work, fabrication and welding
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair
- Familiarity with auto glass installation and replacement processes is a plus
- Ability to perform assembly tasks related to vehicle components
- Experience in auto restoration projects is advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Effective communication skills for team collaboration
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Valid drivers license
