About the Role
We are seeking an Energy Efficiency Outreach Specialist to join our team and help support local energy-saving initiatives. This is an entry-level, field-based role that involves visiting residential customers to conduct basic home energy assessments, educate homeowners on efficiency opportunities, and encourage participation in conservation programs.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being out in the community, speaking with people, and promoting environmentally friendly solutions. Training is provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-home residential energy audit assessments.
- Explain energy-efficiency programs and assist customers in understanding conservation options.
- Engage customers with a friendly, professional approach.
- Utilize basic sales and marketing techniques to promote program participation.
- Accurately complete assessment forms and documentation.
- Represent the company with professionalism and strong customer service skills.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or Technical School certification.
- At least 1 year of experience in customer service, outreach, fieldwork, utilities, or related experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Outgoing personality with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Must be comfortable visiting customers’ homes (company protocols and safety procedures provided).
- Must be a local candidate; no relocation assistance provided.
