If you are a motivated Real Estate professional, First Community Credit Union may have the career for you! We are currently seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) who is passionate about business development and networking with the Houston community. Our MLOs will focus on outside opportunities for their loan pipelines and earn commission based on their monthly loan volume - the earning potential for this position is unlimited! The qualified candidate will need to have a minimum of one year prior residential mortgage sales and origination experience. In addition, they must maintain current "eligible status" on the Mortgage Loan Officer designation through NMLS (National Mortgage Licensing System) and report any abnormal situations regarding their designation to their supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
- High School graduate or GED equivalent
- Additional coursework in Real Estate Lending field preferred or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience
- Minimum of one year of residential mortgage lending experience or related sales experience with a focus on generating self-sourced business
- Real estate loan origination experience preferred with knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines and an understanding of federal regulations governing RE lending
- Demonstrated success in prospecting, generating leads, developing new business, closing business transactions, and consistently meeting/exceeding sales production goals
