We're seeking an Internal Auditor with sharp critical thinking skills to focus on information technology audits and data analytics, as well as operational and compliance audits and reviews. In this role, you will add value through the execution of audit and advisory projects, with a focus on information technology assurance. You will manage individual projects, partner with team members, and engage with IT and other business units to identify and address areas of improvement. You will also assist in the reviews of applicable information security and privacy regulations, contracts and corporate policies.

In addition, you will participate in a variety of projects and activities related to the company’s business operations and internal controls program. Responsibilities include collaborating with management throughout the organization to assess and document risks and help ensure that well-designed controls are in place and operating effectively.

This position is based in our corporate office in Sarasota and is eligible to work a hybrid schedule upon satisfactory completion of onboarding (2 days from home, 3 days in office).

The salary range for this position is $68,664-$105,739 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Experience

• • Bachelor’s degree; NOTE: Relevant, progressively responsible work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education.
  • Two years of relevant information technology and/or audit experience.
  • Solid knowledge of IT and software concepts such as infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, cloud environments, and third-party services.
  • Solid knowledge of IT general controls and application controls.
  • Solid knowledge of generally accepted auditing standards, practices and techniques.
  • Solid knowledge of common information security management and controls frameworks.
  • Understanding of business workflows and terminology (insurance workflows preferred).
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects and internal audits at one time to meet deadlines and accomplish department objectives.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze, define and solve problems; the use of good judgment and decision-making.

• • Insurance experienced preferred.
  • Experience with data analytics preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of audit or GRC software preferred.
