Position Overview
As our HR Generalist, you will play a key role in supporting the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, compliance and performance management. You’ll work closely with leadership to foster a positive and productive work environment that aligns with our mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes
- Administer employee benefits and coordinate open enrollment
- Maintain HRIS (Paycom) and ensure accurate employee records
- Process bi-weekly payroll and ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws
- Support performance review cycles and employee development initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Plans, communicates, and facilitates new hire orientation.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee relations and HR inquiries
- Assist with policy development and implementation
- Coordinate employee engagement and wellness programs
- Designs, prepares, and distributes regular and ad-hoc reporting, including but not limited to compensation analysis, audit reports, diversity reports, termination lists, and monthly headcount reports. Reviews data to ensure accuracy and makes corrections as needed
- Complete the unemployment process by evaluating the cause for termination, responding to claims, and participating in unemployment hearings as needed. Complete job & TWC verifications
- Maintain and update the company’s social media platforms to support company branding and employee engagement
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a fast-paced or call center environment
- Experience with payroll processing and familiarity with payroll systems
- Experience managing social media for business or employer branding is a plus
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills and ability to work with all levels of staff and management
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work, with a sense of urgency to complete tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness in finding solutions
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and adapt to changing needs
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Paycom a plus
