Job Description: The Yard Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the recycling yard, ensuring safety, efficiency, and productivity. This role involves managing a team of yard workers, coordinating logistics, and maintain equipment to facilitate the processing and sorting of recycling materials.

Job Requirements

Supervision and Leadership:

• Lead, Motivate, and supervise a team of yard workers, providing guidance and support to achieve operational goals.
• Conduct regular meetings to communicate expectations, safety procedures, and performance targets.
  
  

Operational Management

• Coordinate the intake, processing, and sorting of recyclable materials, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure an adequate supply of materials for processing.
  
  

Safety And Compliance

• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of the yard facilities and equipment to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Provide training on safety procedures and best practices to all yard personnel.
  
  

Logistics And Planning

• Plan and coordinate logistics for inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling deliveries and managing transportation arrangements.
• Optimize workflow processes to maximize throughput and minimize bottlenecks in operations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of activities and timely completion of tasks.
  
  

Quality Assurance

• Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity and purity of recycled materials.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor the quality of processed materials and identify areas for improvement.
  
  

Education

• High School Diploma
  
  

Required Experience And Competencies

• 1-3 years of experience is preferred
• Strong attention to detail
