Responsibilities
1. Responsible for reporting accidents/incidents. Assist with investigation and developing countermeasures. Prepare the 8D and SCAR report and conduct meetings.
2. Conduct monthly facility safety audits, monthly safety committee meetings, new equipment/job hazard audits as needed and the continued compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
3. Assist with the development of programs that will aid in the continual improvement of safety and environmental issues.
4. Provide trainings for new hires along with additional safety/environmental trainings.
5. Assist with monthly environmental audits.
6. Correctly handle all hazardous waste.
7. Comply with departmental continuous improvement activities
8. Promote and ensure conformance to the companies IATF 16949 procedures(Work Standards, Regulations, Quality Manual)
9. Promote and ensure conformance to the companies ISO 14001 procedures(Recycling, Reducing Waste)
10. Promote and ensure a safe, clean, harassment free, working environment. Comply with department 5C activities
11. Effectively communicate with management, direct supervisor and associates
12. Additional projects assigned by management
Required/Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements
1. High School Diploma or GED - Required
Preferred Skills/Experience
1. OSHA regulatory requirements and reporting
2. Computer knowledge (Excel, Word, and Power Point)
3. RCRA/DOT training
Environmental/Working Conditions
1. Essential functions of this job require the associate to regularly: sit, stand, walk, bend, twist, carry and lift
2. PPE as required by company policy
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
