JOB SUMMARY:
The Officer of Technology, Cybersecurity, and Process Enhancement oversees the bank’s technology infrastructure, drives cybersecurity initiatives, and leads process enhancements across all departments. This leadership role requires strategic planning, policy development, and fostering innovation to support operational excellence and ensure the security and efficiency of banking systems. The Officer also acts as a liaison between departments and promotes continuous learning and improvement throughout the organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Develop and execute the bank’s technology strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Assist with overseeing the design, implementation, and management of the bank’s infrastructure, including networks, servers, data centers, and core banking systems.
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives to protect sensitive customer and bank data, maintaining strict adherence to confidentiality protocols.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to banking and IT security standards.
- Assist in managing, mentoring, and developing IT and related technical staff.
- Collaborate with the Data Operations Department to ensure efficient daily technology operations, including transaction processing, system monitoring, and disaster recovery.
- Act as the primary liaison between the IT and Data Operations Department to facilitate communication, troubleshoot issues, and implement integrated solutions.
- Drive process improvement across departments using technology and operational best practices.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of banking operations and support cross-training initiatives to enhance organizational knowledge.
- Develop, review, and update policies and procedures related to technology, cybersecurity, and banking operations to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Provide training on technological tools and systems to improve operational efficiency.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement new banking technologies, including digital banking, mobile solutions, blockchain, and AI.
- Assist in managing the IT budget, vendor relationships, and procurement processes.
- Ensure high system availability, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning for all critical banking systems.
- Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive data in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, OR equivalent IT experience in lieu of formal education.
- Extensive experience (typically 10 years) in banking or financial services IT.
- Proven leadership managing large-scale infrastructure, cybersecurity initiatives, and operational teams.
- Deep knowledge of banking applications, core systems, and compliance standards.
- Expertise in cybersecurity, risk management, and process improvement methodologies.
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISA, PMP, or equivalent) preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Primarily office-based at bank facilities.
- Regular visits to data centers, vendor sites, or other bank locations.
- Potential on-call responsibilities outside of normal hours for system issues or cybersecurity incidents.
- Local travel for meetings, training, or industry events.
- High-pressure situations may occur during outages or security breaches, requiring professionalism, quick decision-making, and confidentiality.
